Buta And Astrolab, multi instrumentists, started their musical collaboration in the mid 90's playing mainly rock inspired music. After few years of touring, their first band broke up and they then turned into reggae music in 2002 alongside Chadian singer Anicet Djétar and a new band: Akaar System, with whom they played many shows around Switzerland from 2003 to 2004.
In 2003, most of the musicians of the band started touring and creating songs with Johnny King and the new band was called Askaar Crew.
Buta got the idea to create a label to release Johnny King And Askaar Crew first album, and Astrolab joined the new born Mama Music Records which became Nagona Music Records officially in 2008. Then, follow years of collaboration with some great artists like Rod Taylor, Errol Organs, Prince Alla, Leroy "Horsemouth" Wallace and many wicked musicians and singers met around Switzerland that are too many to be named here.

Buta And Astrolab have created most of the music released by Nagona Music Records since "Babylon Invasion" in 2005, and they play most of the instruments on the recordings since 2006. They are also producers of every albums and singles released and wanted for a long time to release a dubs album, which is now done with In Dub, released June 21st 2020.

Florian "Buta" Chassot, born on the 9th of January 1981, is an autodidact bass player and multi instrumentist, active also as independent musician for different projects and live performances.

Guillaume "Astrolab" Macherel, born on the 23rd of July 1981, is a professional guitarist, multi instrumentist and sound engineer, also active as independent sound engineer and musician.
